- Traveling Field Project Manager
Description
OFS Inventory is seeking experienced Traveling Field Project Managers to lead inventory and operational projects at client facilities nationwide.
This is a contract/project-based position, not a traditional Monday–Friday role. Projects typically range from several days to multiple weeks, with potential downtime between assignments. Candidates must be comfortable with frequent nationwide travel and a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities include:
Lead OFS field teams and coordinate with client management.
Manage project schedules, workflows, productivity, and deliverables.
Oversee physical inventory counts, data collection, labeling, and reconciliation.
Maintain accurate project data using Excel and Google Sheets.
Identify problems and adjust field processes as needed.
Provide daily progress updates and final project documentation.
Work hands-on alongside the project team when necessary.
Ideal candidates have:
5+ years of project management, operations, logistics, inventory, manufacturing, or related experience.
Experience leading teams in warehouse, manufacturing, or field environments.
Strong Excel/Google Sheets and communication skills.
Ability to travel nationwide, sometimes on relatively short notice.
PMP certification preferred, but not required.
Compensation: Up to $450 per project day, based on experience and assignment. Travel expenses handled separately.

Requirements
5+ years of Project Management, operations, logistics, inventory, manufacturing, or related experience.
Proven experience leading teams in warehouse, manufacturing, industrial, or other field environments.
Ability and willingness to travel nationwide for projects lasting several days to multiple weeks.
Flexible availability for project-based assignments, including occasional short-notice travel and weekend work.
Comfortable with potential downtime between project assignments.
Strong leadership, organization, problem-solving, and client communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
Ability to manage project schedules, personnel, productivity, data accuracy, and deliverables.
Willingness to work hands-on alongside the project team when needed.
Comfortable working in active warehouse and manufacturing environments, including extended periods of walking and standing.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
PMP certification preferred, but not required.
Inventory, supply chain, logistics, or physical inventory experience strongly preferred.
